Pricing Options
Pricing Options
Set different prices for each license type: offer free, fixed, or pay-what-you-want pricing.
On 3DIMLI, pricing is configured per license, not per product. This means you can offer the same product at different prices depending on how buyers want to use it.

How License-Level Pricing Works
Instead of setting one price for your entire product, you set a price for each license you offer. This gives buyers flexibility to choose the license that fits their needs and budget.
Example: A 3D model could be priced as:
- Standard License (personal/commercial use): $25
- Commercial Redistribution (for resale in games/apps): $75
- Editorial Use Only (news/education): Free
Each license has its own pricing settings: you control everything independently.
Available License Types
| License | Best For | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Most buyers | Personal projects, client work, internal business use |
| Commercial Redistribution | Resellers | Games, apps, NFTs, templates, merchandise |
| Editorial Use Only | Non-commercial | News, education, journalism, research |
| CC BY 4.0 | Open sharing | Free use with attribution required |
See the full License Policy for detailed usage rights.
Pricing Modes
For each license, choose one of three pricing modes:
| Mode | Description | When to Use |
|---|---|---|
| Free | No cost to buyers | Building audience, promotional products, open-source |
| Fixed Price | Buyer pays exact amount you set | Standard pricing, predictable revenue |
| Flexible Price | Buyer chooses amount within your limits | Pay-what-you-want, maximize reach |
Free
Building your audience, promotional products, Editorial Use Only licenses, CC BY 4.0 open-source content
The license is available at no cost. Buyers can download without payment.
Fixed Price
Standard pricing with predictable revenue per sale
Set a single price in USD. The buyer pays exactly this amount.
Settings:
- Price: The exact amount buyers pay (in USD)
Flexible Price (Pay-What-You-Want)
Maximizing reach by letting buyers pay what they can afford
Let buyers choose how much they pay within your limits.
Settings:
| Field | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Suggested Price | Recommended price shown to buyers (anchor) | $20 |
| Minimum Price | Lowest amount allowed (set $0 for "free or more") | $5 |
| Maximum Price | Highest amount allowed (default: $60,000) | $100 |
Offer Mode: Multiple vs Single License
You can control how licenses are presented to buyers:
| Mode | How It Works |
|---|---|
| Multiple licenses | All licenses are shown on the product page. Buyers can purchase one license at a time, or buy multiple licenses together. |
| Single license | Only one license is available for purchase at a time. |
Buying Multiple Licenses
When you offer multiple licenses, buyers can purchase more than one in a single transaction. The prices add up.
Example:
- Standard License: $4
- Commercial Redistribution: $10
- Buyer purchases both → Total: $14
This is useful when a buyer needs both personal use rights AND commercial redistribution rights for the same product.
Use single license mode when you want strict control over how your product is used, or when licenses are mutually exclusive (buyer should only need one).
Currency
All prices are in USD. 3DIMLI currently supports USD only.
