Default Game License Types
| License | Description | Default Price |
|---|---|---|
| Standard License | Proprietary license - buyer gets a limited, non-transferable right to play the game for personal use. | Set by seller |
| Creative Commons License | Allows sharing, remixing, or adapting the game under specific conditions set by the seller. | Set by seller |
| Open Source License | Source code is publicly available. Buyers can study, modify, and distribute it under the chosen open-source license (GPL, MIT, Apache). | Set by seller |
| Demo / Trial License | A limited version of the game (time-locked, feature-restricted, or first few levels) to let players try before buying. | Free by default |
Each license includes configurable fields:
| Field | Required | Type | Description |

- Standard License works for most paid games where you want to maintain control.
- Open Source is great for community-driven projects or educational games.
- Demo / Trial helps convert players to paying customers - offer the first few levels for free.
- Write license terms in plain language. Buyers should understand what they can and cannot do.
Troubleshooting
- Game won't upload: Check if the archive format is supported (ZIP, RAR, 7Z). Compress all game files.
- Images rejected: Upload high-resolution JPG or PNG screenshots under 2MB.
- Low visibility: Add a gameplay trailer, better tags, and a description that highlights key features.
- License confusion: Keep license terms simple. Use the default templates as a starting point.
