Add or Update Password


The Add / Update Password section allows you to either set a password for the first time or securely change your existing password.
This feature helps protect your 3DIMLI account and ensures only you can access sensitive areas such as purchases, uploads, payout details, billing information, and personal data.

Why Adding or Updating Your Password Matters​

1. Improve Overall Security​

Setting or changing your password reduces the risk of someone using old, weak, or compromised credentials.

2. Prevent Unauthorized Access​

If you’ve used shared devices, public Wi-Fi, or feel someone might have seen or saved your login details, updating your password protects your account immediately.

3. Safeguard Billing & Payout Information​

Your 3DIMLI account stores important financial details such as:

  • Saved billing information
  • Payout methods
  • Purchase history

A strong password helps prevent misuse or unauthorized changes.

4. Maintain Full Control Over Your Account​

If you notice unfamiliar logins in Active Sessions, adding or updating your password is the fastest way to lock out unknown access.

How this Process Works​

Step 1 : Verify with Current Password (If You Already Have One)​

If your account already has a password, you'll first be asked to enter your current password.
This prevents someone with temporary access to your device from changing your login details without permission.

OR

Step 1 (New Users) : Add a Password​

If you don’t have a password yet, you’ll directly proceed to creating one.
This is common for users who signed up using Google Login or other OAuth methods.

Step 2 : Create a New Password​

You will enter:

  • A new password
  • A confirmation of the new password

3DIMLI may also display password strength indicators to help you choose a secure option.

Step 3 : Save Changes​

After submitting:

  • Your password updates instantly
  • Some sessions may require a re-login, depending on your settings
  • If 2FA is enabled, you will also need to enter your 6-digit code on the next login

Difficult to Guess​

Use a mix of:

  • Uppercase letters (A-Z)
  • Lowercase letters (a-z)
  • Numbers (0-9)
  • Special characters (! @ # $ % ^ & * etc.)

Unique​

Avoid reusing passwords you use for:

  • Email
  • Social media
  • Other websites

Long Enough​

Use at least 10-12 characters.
Longer passwords are far harder to crack.

Stored Securely​

Use a trusted password manager such as:

  • 1Password
  • Bitwarden
  • LastPass

Store your login details safely and never write them in plain text.

When You Should Add or Update Your Password​

Update or set a password whenever:

  • You logged in from a public or shared computer
  • A device was lost or borrowed
  • You saw unfamiliar activity in Active Sessions
  • You haven’t updated your password in a long time
  • You suspect unauthorized access
  • You signed up with Google and never added a password
