Download Logs
Download Logs
When you download a purchased product on 3DIMLI, a log is generated that records the download event. This log serves as proof of download and is visible to both the buyer and the seller.
How It Works
- Click the Download button on a purchased product.
- A confirmation dialog appears (first-time downloads only).
- After clicking Confirm, the file downloads and a log entry is created.
- The log records:
- Date and time (e.g., "Dec 5, 2025 1:39:12 AM")
- The specific license downloaded
Download Confirmation Dialog
Before downloading any purchased product for the first time, a confirmation dialog appears:
"This purchase is final and non refundable once confirmed."
After confirming, you can download and save your file. Please review our refund policy for more information.
Are you sure you want to continue?
Your options:
- Cancel: Close the dialog. Your refund eligibility remains intact.
- Confirm: Proceed with download. The product becomes non-refundable.
Important: Make sure you're ready to keep the product before clicking Confirm.
Viewing Download Logs
For Buyers
- Go to your Downloads page.
- Click on a product row to expand it.
- Click the clock icon next to the Download button.
- View your download history with exact timestamps.
- Use the copy button to copy the log if needed.
If no downloads have been made yet, the popup shows "No download history available."
For Sellers
Sellers can view buyer download logs from the Orders page in the Seller Dashboard.
This allows you to:
- Check if a buyer downloaded a product before processing a refund.
- Verify download timestamps when handling disputes.
- Have evidence ready for payment provider dispute resolution.
For more on managing orders, see Orders and Inventory.
Impact on Refunds
| Condition | Automated Refund | What to Do |
|---|---|---|
| Not downloaded, within 7 days | Eligible | Use the Refund button on your Purchases page |
| Not downloaded, after 7 days | Not available | Contact the seller directly |
| Downloaded (any time) | Not available | Contact the seller directly |
An automated refund requires both conditions: product not downloaded and request within 7 days. Once you download, the automated refund option is no longer available. For any post-download issues, contact the seller: they can issue a manual refund from their dashboard.
The confirmation dialog exists to ensure you understand these implications before downloading.
For more details, see Refunds.
Using Logs in Payment Disputes
Since all transactions happen directly between buyers and sellers through the connected payment gateway (PayPal, Stripe, or Razorpay), download logs provide neutral evidence that both parties can reference.
For Buyers:
- Logs show whether you downloaded the files.
- Be honest - false claims can be easily disproven.
For Sellers:
- Provide the download log as proof the buyer received the product.
- Share with PayPal's dispute resolution team to support your case.
