Website Options

Website Options

Website Options control the global look and behavior of your Website Builder pages. These settings affect the whole website, not only one page.

Backup/importExport, import, or restore website settings when those controls are available

Global vs page-specific settings

Some settings are global defaults and some are page-specific overrides.

  • Global settings live in Website Options and affect all builder pages.
  • Page settings live inside an individual page and affect only that page.

For example, a page can inherit global scroll behavior or override it for that page.

Website Options can manage menu items that point to pages, products, external URLs, or content blocks. After changing page slugs, review menus so visitors do not land on old links.

Export and import

When export/import controls are available, use them before making large theme changes. A website-options export is best for same-account backup and restore. Cross-store sharing can require extra cleanup because logos, page links, palette IDs, and content block references may belong to the original account.

Safe editing tips

  • Export settings before a major redesign when export is available.
  • Change one design group at a time.
  • Check both desktop and mobile navigation.
  • Preview pages that use global menus or content blocks.
  • Save only after confirming the preview looks right.
