Managing Storage
Your storage shows how much space your store is using on 3DIMLI.
Storage is used when you upload product images, downloadable files, store banners, avatars, and other files connected to your store.
Where to check your storage
You can check your storage usage from your dashboard.
Go to:
Dashboard → Settings → Storage
On this page, you can see:
- How much storage you have used
- How much storage is still available
- Your total storage limit
- Storage used by images
- Storage used by files
You may also see storage information on your dashboard overview under the Storage card.
What counts toward storage?
The following items use your storage:
| Item | Counts toward storage? |
|---|---|
| Product images | Yes |
| Downloadable product files | Yes |
| Store avatar | Yes |
| Store banner | Yes |
| Product preview images | Yes |
| External product links | No |
| YouTube or Vimeo embeds | No |
Storage sections
Your storage page may show different sections.
Images
This includes product images, preview images, store avatars, and banners.
Files
This includes downloadable files such as ZIP files, PDFs, 3D files, audio files, templates, and other uploaded product files.
Available
This shows how much storage is still free in your current plan.
Refresh storage usage
You may see a Refresh Quota button on the storage page.
Use this button if:
- You recently deleted files
- You recently upgraded storage
- Your storage usage does not look updated
When your storage is almost full
When your storage is almost full, you may not be able to upload more files.
To free up space, you can:
- Delete unused product drafts
- Remove old files
- Remove unnecessary preview images
- Upgrade your storage plan
If your storage goes over the limit
Your storage can go over the limit after a downgrade or cancellation.
In this case, 3DIMLI gives you a 10-day grace period. When it starts, you receive an email with the exact list of products scheduled for deletion, and a cleanup banner appears in your dashboard.
During this time, you can:
- Upgrade again
- Delete files manually
- Remove unused products
- Bring your storage usage back under the limit
The grace period ends immediately once your usage is back under the limit.
Automatic product deletion
If your storage is still over the limit when the grace period ends, 3DIMLI automatically deletes entire products — including their files and images — until your usage is back under the limit.
Products are deleted in this order, designed to protect your sales history:
- Products with no sales (largest first)
- Free products (largest first)
- Paid products with the fewest sales (largest first)
Your customers keep their order history, but they can no longer download files from a deleted product.
Cleanup runs daily until your usage is under the limit — you can stop it at any moment by deleting files yourself, removing unused products, or upgrading your plan.
Deleted products cannot be recovered. To choose what gets removed, reduce your storage or upgrade before the grace period ends.
See Storage Plan for full details on the grace period.
Email reminders
3DIMLI may send email reminders when:
- Your storage is almost full
- Your storage plan is cancelled
- Your plan is downgraded
- Your grace period has started
- Your grace period is about to end
Make sure your account email is correct so you do not miss important reminders.
