Install 3DIMLI as an App

3DIMLI offers two ways to get a native app experience:

  • 3DIMLI Desktop App — A full desktop application for sellers to create, manage, and publish products. Includes features like Watch Folder for bulk uploads and offline draft editing.
  • Web App (PWA) — A quick shortcut for anyone to access 3DIMLI from their desktop or phone home screen without opening a browser.

3DIMLI Desktop App​

The Desktop App is built for sellers who want to manage products directly from their computer. It includes the Watch Folder feature for bulk uploading, offline draft editing, and more.

Windows​

  1. Download and run the .exe installer
  2. Follow the setup wizard — you can choose the install location
  3. Launch 3DIMLI Desktop from your desktop or start menu
  4. Sign in with your 3DIMLI seller account

macOS​

  1. Download the .dmg file for your Mac:
    • Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) → download the arm64 version
    • Intel Mac → download the x64 version
  2. Open the .dmg and drag 3DIMLI Desktop to your Applications folder
  3. Launch from Applications or Spotlight
  4. Sign in with your 3DIMLI seller account

On first launch, macOS may show a security warning. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.

Linux​

  1. Download the .AppImage file
  2. Make it executable: chmod +x 3DIMLI-Desktop-Setup-*.AppImage
  3. Run the AppImage to launch the app
  4. Sign in with your 3DIMLI seller account

The app checks for updates automatically and notifies you when a new version is available.

Install as a Web App (PWA)​

Installing 3DIMLI as a Web App gives you a browser shortcut with a standalone window — quick access without typing the URL. This works for both buyers and sellers.

Why Install the Web App?​

  • Quick access: Launch 3DIMLI directly from your desktop or home screen
  • Standalone window: No browser tabs or address bar clutter
  • Faster loading: App opens instantly without typing the URL
  • Native feel: Works and feels like a regular app on your device

Desktop (Chrome, Edge)​

  1. Visit 3dimli.com in your browser
  2. Look for the install icon in the address bar (usually on the right side)
  3. Click the icon and select Install
  4. 3DIMLI will be added to your desktop/start menu

Alternatively, click the browser menu (three dots) and select "Install 3DIMLI" or "Install app".

Mobile (Android)​

  1. Visit 3dimli.com in Chrome or your preferred browser
  2. Tap the browser menu (three dots)
  3. Select "Add to Home Screen" or "Install app"
  4. Confirm the installation
  5. 3DIMLI icon appears on your home screen

Mobile (iOS / iPhone / iPad)​

  1. Visit 3dimli.com in Safari
  2. Tap the Share button (square with arrow)
  3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
  4. Tap Add to confirm
  5. 3DIMLI icon appears on your home screen

iOS Support

iOS 17 and later provide full PWA support including push notifications, offline access, and install prompts. Earlier iOS versions (16.4+) have limited support with basic Add to Home Screen functionality.

After Installation​

Once installed, you can:

  • Open 3DIMLI from your desktop, start menu, or home screen
  • Browse products, manage your dashboard, and make purchases
  • Receive the same experience as the website in a standalone window

The Web App automatically stays up to date — no manual updates needed. The Desktop App notifies you when updates are available.

Uninstalling​

Desktop App​

  • Windows: Go to Settings → Apps → find 3DIMLI Desktop → Uninstall. Or right-click the app in Start menu → Uninstall.
  • macOS: Drag 3DIMLI Desktop from Applications to Trash.
  • Linux: Delete the .AppImage file.

Web App (PWA)​

Desktop​

  • Windows: Right-click the app in Start menu → Uninstall
  • Mac: Drag the app from Applications to Trash

Mobile​

  • Android: Long-press the app icon → Uninstall
  • iOS: Long-press the app icon → Remove App

Both options are optional. You can always access 3DIMLI through your browser at 3dimli.com. Sellers who want bulk upload and offline features should use the Desktop App.
