# Link a PayU Account

PayU is available to eligible India-based sellers with an approved PayU merchant account. Buyers can use the payment methods enabled for that account, such as UPI, cards, net banking, and EMI.

## Before you begin

- Complete PayU merchant onboarding and account verification.
- Keep your **Merchant Key** and **Merchant Salt (v1)** private.
- Disconnect any other active 3DIMLI payment gateway.

## Find your PayU credentials

1. Sign in to the PayU Dashboard.
2. Open **Collect Payments -> Payment Gateway -> Key/Salt**.
3. Copy the production **Merchant Key** and **Merchant Salt (v1)**.

## Connect PayU to 3DIMLI

1. Open **Dashboard -> Settings -> Payment Gateway**.
2. Select **PayU**.
3. Enter the Merchant Key and Merchant Salt.
4. Save and confirm the gateway shows as connected.
5. If your PayU card shows a webhook URL, add that exact URL in PayU's webhook settings.

Never send your Merchant Salt through chat, email, screenshots, or support tickets. 3DIMLI support does not need the secret value to troubleshoot normal setup issues.

## Currency and checkout

- INR stores charge the saved INR total.
- USD stores show USD prices and convert the checkout total to INR for PayU processing.
- PayU decides the final available payment methods and any international acceptance for your merchant account.

Use [Store Currency](/managing-your-dashboard/settings/store/store-currency) to review USD and INR setup.

## Refunds

Start eligible refunds from the 3DIMLI order or refund workflow. The refund is sent through the same PayU merchant account that processed the payment.

## Troubleshooting

| Issue | What to check |
| --- | --- |
| Credentials are rejected | Confirm you copied the production Merchant Key and Merchant Salt (v1), without extra spaces. |
| PayU is not available | Confirm your seller business country is India and your merchant account is approved. |
| A payment method is missing | Enable it in PayU and confirm it is approved for your merchant account. |
| Refund fails | Check the original transaction and available balance in your PayU Dashboard. |
