# Booking

Booking products let sellers sell time on a calendar instead of a downloadable file. Use them for consultations, coaching sessions, live classes, webinars, design reviews, tutoring, service appointments, and other scheduled sessions.

A booking listing still uses the normal 3DIMLI product flow: title, description, category, media, pricing, review, publishing, cart, checkout, orders, refunds, and customer records. The difference is that buyers choose an available time slot before checkout.

:::info Feature availability
Booking is controlled by a platform feature setting. If you do not see Booking in your seller dashboard, it may not be enabled for your account or region yet.
:::

## What you can sell

| Booking type | Examples |
| --- | --- |
| Appointments | 1:1 consulting, design feedback, portfolio reviews, training calls |
| Group sessions | Workshops, classes, paid live sessions, limited-seat events |
| Webinars | One-time live sessions with a fixed date, time, and attendee capacity |
| Services | Bookable studio time, setup help, technical support, implementation calls |

## Requirements

- Be a registered seller on 3DIMLI.
- Create clear session terms, including what buyers receive and what they should prepare.
- Set your availability so buyers can only pick times you offer.
- Connect any required payment gateway before publishing paid sessions.
- Keep meeting links, phone details, or location instructions accurate.

## Create a Booking product

1. Open your seller dashboard and go to **My Products -> Add Product**.
2. Select **Booking** as the product type.
3. Add the listing details: title, description, category, product images, tags, and SEO details.
4. Set the booking details such as duration, timezone, location type, capacity, minimum notice, and booking window.
5. Choose pricing. Booking products can use normal checkout pricing, including free or paid sessions depending on the setup available to your account.
6. Save the product and submit it for review if review is required.
7. After approval, publish the listing so buyers can choose a time and check out.

## Important booking settings

| Setting | What it controls |
| --- | --- |
| Duration | How long each session lasts. |
| Slot interval | How often start times appear, such as every 15, 30, or 60 minutes. |
| Buffer time | Extra blocked time before or after a session. |
| Minimum notice | How soon before the session buyers are allowed to book. |
| Booking period | How far into the future buyers can book. |
| Capacity | How many attendees or seats can be booked for the same time. |
| Location | In-person, phone, video link, Google Meet, Zoom, or custom instructions depending on your setup. |
| Intake questions | Extra buyer details collected before checkout, such as project notes or contact details. |

## Availability and slots

Your booking product uses your seller availability. Availability can include weekly hours, blocked days, date overrides, and the timezone used for the service. A time slot only appears to buyers when it matches your booking rules and has not already been reserved.

For seller setup, see [Booking Availability](/managing-your-dashboard/seller-area/booking/availability).

## Buyer flow

1. Buyer opens the Booking product page.
2. Buyer chooses a service, layout, date, and available time.
3. Buyer enters any required attendee or intake details.
4. 3DIMLI temporarily holds the selected slot while the buyer checks out.
5. After payment or confirmation, the booking appears in the buyer's Meetings page and in the seller's Booking dashboard.

## Access details

Depending on the location type, buyers may see a video link, phone details, address, or custom instructions. If access details are hidden until the buyer opens them, the booking may become non-refundable after access is revealed.

## Refund and cancellation notes

Booking refunds follow the platform refund rules plus booking-specific access conditions. A booking may be ineligible for refund if the buyer has already revealed access details, attended, or missed the session. Sellers should keep cancellation and reschedule expectations clear in the product description.

For the general refund policy, see [Refund Policy](/refund-policy).

## Troubleshooting

| Issue | What to check |
| --- | --- |
| Booking type is not visible | The platform feature may not be enabled yet. Contact support. |
| No times appear on the product page | Check availability, timezone, minimum notice, booking period, and whether the product is published. |
| Buyer cannot book a slot | The slot may already be held, outside the booking window, or blocked by capacity rules. |
| Meeting link is missing | Check the product location settings and any connected calendar/conferencing integration. |
| Buyer asks where the session is | Ask them to open **Dashboard -> Meetings** or the relevant purchase details page. |
